

Clara is able to save Hans but slips on a cannon ball and loses consciousness for the rest of the night. Clara is not happy with the ending of the story and later takes Hans up to meet her dolls and is surprised when the mouse king arrives to slay Hans. Her spirits are soon lifted, however, when her beloved Uncle Drosselmeier arrives, introduces Clara to Hans the Nutcracker, and tells her about the evil mouse king, his crooked tail and his vow of revenge. Clara is sad because her sister has a boyfriend, which causes her to feel left out and lonely. This film features an all-star cast including Keifer Sutherland as Hans, Megan Follows as Clara, Peter O’Toole as the old soldier Pantaloon, and Peter Boretski as Clara’s eccentric but loving Uncle Drosselmeier. The only way for Hans to break the spell is to defeat the evil mouse king and to win the heart of the fair maiden Clara. The Nutcracker Prince is the story of a boy called Hans who is transformed into a nutcracker by mice. This film is based in part on the ballet adaption of The Nutcracker, and therefore most on the soundtrack is music from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Hoffman, this film is centered towards young and old alike with likable and loveable characters and villains that are as fun to hate as they are to watch.
